Debut production BRZ sport coupe of Subaru
Toyoto UK division on a 86 GT production during the holiday weekend, and now Subaru has released the sport coupe version of this jointly developed: BRZ. Not surprisingly, most of the details we know about these two models are identical, including their naturally aspirated 2.0-liter horizontally opposed boxer engine, choice of 6-speed manual or automatic (with paddle shift) transmission, rear-wheel-drive layout and center of gravity low.

Toyota stated that the GT 86 engine will produce 197 bhp and 151 lb-ft of torque. Likewise, says Subaru version will make a nice, round 200 horsepower and 151 lb-ft. Subaru also revealed a few tidbits that Toyota abandoned, including trim curb weight of 2689 pounds and a standard tire size will be 215/45R17 rubber.
As for car design, is not here we have not seen before in the iteration of various concepts BRZ (and FT-86, in this case). It’s up to you to decide whether or not it’s a good thing, but we’ll just say we think a better angle BRZ is the rear. See ?
